The Pink City

India's Jewellery Capital, Our Home

Jaipur is not merely where Myauré Jewels is based — it is the reason we exist. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the Pink City has been synonymous with gemstones and fine jewellery for nearly three centuries.

The city's artisan quarter, Johari Bazaar, has drawn gem traders and master craftspeople from across Asia, Persia and beyond. Today it remains the world's most concentrated hub for jewellery manufacturing, stone cutting and export — and the source of everything we make.

When you partner with Myauré Jewels, you are not simply working with a manufacturer. You are connecting your brand to one of the world's great craft traditions.

A Living Legacy

A City Built on Stone and Silver

Jaipur's relationship with precious materials is encoded in its architecture, its streets and its people. The same families who cut sapphires for Mughal emperors now supply gemstones to luxury brands in Paris, New York and Tokyo.

This continuity of knowledge — passed from master to apprentice across generations — produces a quality of craft that cannot be replicated by industrial manufacturing. Every hand that works a stone in Jaipur carries centuries of accumulated skill.

It is this heritage that defines every Myauré Jewels collection. Not nostalgia, but living expertise applied to the demands of the modern global market.

What Makes Jaipur Unique

Six Pillars of Craft Excellence

Jaipur's supremacy in global jewellery manufacturing rests on a foundation built across centuries. These are the elements that set our craft apart.

Generational Gem Cutting

Jaipur is responsible for cutting and polishing more than 40% of the world's coloured gemstones. This expertise, refined over five centuries, produces flawless calibrated stones for international jewellery markets.

Minakari Enamel Work

The ancient Persian art of vitreous enamel, brought to Jaipur by Mughal artisans in the 16th century, produces the vivid colour inlays that distinguish Rajasthani jewellery in every major market worldwide.

Kundan & Polki Setting

Jaipur's master stone setters are the world authority on Kundan and Polki — the ancient Indian setting techniques that frame uncut diamonds and precious stones in refined gold. A craft with no equivalent elsewhere.

Sterling Silver Mastery

Jaipur's silver artisans have worked the metal for over 400 years. The city's workshops command every technique — casting, hand fabrication, repoussé, filigree, oxidation and modern production finishing — at scale.

Integrated Trade Ecosystem

Johari Bazaar concentrates every link in the supply chain within walking distance — mine agents, rough stone dealers, cutters, setters, polishers, electroplaters, hallmarking centres and export forwarders — reducing time and cost for global buyers.

Export Infrastructure

Jaipur has operated as an international trade hub for three centuries. Modern customs bonding warehouses, specialist jewellery freight handlers and direct air cargo links to major global hubs make export seamless and reliable.

"Jaipur does not manufacture jewellery — it practises jewellery. The distinction matters to every brand we supply."

Our Address

Sitapura Industrial Area, Jaipur

Johari Bazaar — literally "Jewellers' Market" — is the historic commercial heart of Jaipur's gemstone and jewellery trade. Established in 1727 as part of Maharaja Jai Singh's planned city, it has operated continuously as a wholesale jewellery district for nearly 300 years.

Today, Johari Bazaar contains the highest concentration of export-registered jewellery manufacturers in South Asia. It is the first address international buyers seek when sourcing from India.

Myauré Jewels has been based here since 1994. Our manufacturing and design studio sits at the centre of this ecosystem — within reach of our gemstone dealers, our craft specialists and our export partners.

The Business Case

Why International Brands Source From Jaipur

01

Unmatched Cost Advantage

Jaipur's integrated manufacturing ecosystem eliminates the margins charged by intermediary distributors and multi-country supply chains. Direct from the source means prices that allow your brand to compete aggressively at retail without compromising quality.

02

Design Capability at Scale

Jaipur's manufacturers have invested in CAD design infrastructure, enabling custom and private label collections to be developed from brief to bulk in weeks, not months. The design talent resident in the city's workshops has no equivalent in Southeast Asian manufacturing centres.

03

Proven Export Infrastructure

Three decades of international jewellery export have produced a logistics infrastructure built specifically for precious goods — specialist freight forwarders, bonded warehousing, GJEPC certification and established customs relationships with 50+ countries.

04

Quality Assurance Standards

Jaipur's export manufacturers operate under BIS hallmarking requirements, third-party silver assay certification and increasingly, international compliance standards including RoHS (EU nickel directive), REACH, and Fair Trade manufacturing frameworks.

05

Full Product Breadth

No other single city can supply the full range that Jaipur offers: sterling silver, gold vermeil, gemstone setting, brass fashion, loose stones and private label OEM — all from within a 5km radius. Your entire jewellery category, sourced from one partner.

06

Artisanal Differentiation

In a market where consumers increasingly demand provenance, craft and story, "Made in Jaipur" carries genuine international resonance. The city's cultural capital as a jewellery-making centre is an asset that adds tangible value to the brands we supply.
